MATHY Petrol Combustion Chamber Treatment (only 1 x per year)

The MATHY petrol combustion chamber treatment efficiently breaks down the smallest particles in the combustion chamber from reduced displacement (downsised) petrol engines. The use of the treatment reduces the risk of premature ignition of the petrol/air mixture. The so-called Low Speed Pre-Ignition (LSPI) is triggered by micro-small carbon particles. These particles ignite under high pressure before the actual ignition and trigger a pre-ignition. This can lead to a major engine damage.

With the MATHY petrol combustion chamber cure, the entire combustion chamber is freed from carbon particles and the risk of engine damage is minimised. The treatment can be carried out easily without a visit to the workshop. Just use the application description.

Application step by step

In order to efficiently remove carbon particles from the combustion chamber we recommend the use of MATHY-BE and MATHY-BR in combination as a cure. Both products are designed for use in 60 l petrol fuel.

In order to start the petrol combustion chamber cure, pour a can of MATHY-BE Petrol System Cleaner (250 ml) into the tank which should be as empty as possible and fill it up with max. 60 l petrol. Then run the tank down to reserve. Next comes the first application with MATHY-BR Combustion chamber cleaner - petrol (250ml). Again, empty the tank to the reserve volume, fill in a can of MATHY-BR (250ml) and add 60 l petrol again. Then fill the tank once without and then again with MATHY-BR until all three cans are used up. For an optimal cleaning cycle we recommend a 30 minute motorway drive with MATHY-BR in the tank. If possible, use a premium petrol fuel for the entire treatment.

Note: Filling the tank without additive prevents over-additivation of the petrol fuel.
