Pass your next emissions test with confidence
So what should you do if the engine check or DPF filter light comes on and your emissions test is coming up? Incorrect or inaccurate exhaust emissions values are considered a “significant defect,” which means you will not pass the general inspection, an essential part of which is the emissions test.

Especially with your diesel car. Compared to gasoline engines, diesel engines prefer continuous operation and tend to suffer from extreme coking when used constantly for short distances.
This means that injectors, piston rings, exhaust gas recirculation valves (EGR), particulate filters (DPF), and even the engine oil are excessively contaminated with combustion residues during short trips. This leads to expensive repairs. Take action in good time!
