MATHÉ Classic Engine Oil Additive is an engine oil additive that is specifically designed for vintage and classic cars and is used for optimum bridging of long periods of stand-still. Adding MATHÉ Classic Engine Oil Additive to the engine oil improves the reliability of vintage and classic engines significantly and ensures long-term protection of the engine.
MATHÉ Classic Engine Oil Additive is considered to be the representative of the latest additive technology as shown through many years of successful use in racing engines. Its active ingredients have been specially tuned for engines of pre-war vintage cars and engines from vintage and classic cars built in the years 1950 to1970. MATHÉ Classic Engine Oil Additive is free of solid matter and can be used with all engine oils of viscosity class SAE 30 to 40.

Dosage
Normal Use
Add 10% of MATHÉ Classic Engine Oil Additive to the engine oil.
High-load
conditions Add 20% of MATHÉ Classic Engine Oil Additive to the engine oil (e.g. racing conditions).
In case of problems*
Add 25% to MATHÉ Classic Engine Oil Additive to the engine oil when vehicle shows strong engine vibrations, or overly loud and unstable running.
* e.g. intense rattling noise, uneven engine running, starting problems, loss of compression
Application
For vintage and classic engines with a mileage of more than 20,000 km (12,500 miles), a cleaning phase is recommended. Drain 10 % of existing engine oil and replace with MATHÉ Classic Engine Oil Additive. An oil change should be carried out after 500 to 700 km (300 to 450 miles). For draining oil, engine oil should be hot. After draining the engine oil, use a minimum of 10% of MATHÉ Classic Engine Oil Additive and 90% of fresh engine oil according to manufacturer’s specifications (e.g. with a total engine capacity of 4 L, add 400 ml MATHÉ Classic Engine Additive to 3,600 ml engine oil specified by manufacturer).
